Dr. Lieber has provided seminal concepts central to the bottom-up paradigm of nanoscience and has been a leader in the application of nanomaterials.
Dr. Charles M. Lieber, along with Dr. Alivisatos, is being recognized for their important research contributions which have had a significant, positive impact on humankind. They will be honored at the Welch Award Banquet on October 21. Drs. Lieber and Alivisatos will share the $500,000 Welch Award.
