Dr. Alivisatos' work with the fabrication of nanocrystals and their use in renewable energy and biomedical applications is internationally recognized.
Dr. Alivisatos, along with Dr. Charles M. Lieber, is being recognized for their important research contributions which have had a significant, positive impact on humankind. They will be honored at the Welch Award Banquet on October 21. Drs. Alivisatos and Lieber will share the $500,000 Welch Award.
