Claudia Esquivel has served as Chief Financial Officer of The Welch Foundation since April 2026. Claudia is a finance and operations executive with years of experience leading strategy, financial management, and business transformation across public and private organizations. Throughout her career, she has held executive roles guiding organizations through periods of expansion, transformation, and acquisition.
Prior to joining The Welch Foundation, Claudia served as CFO of Sirius Education Solutions, where she led the company's financial strategy, scaled the finance function, and supported a successful exit. She previously served as CFO and COO of GTG Capital, a single-family office, and as Vice President of Finance and Operations at The Friedkin Group. Claudia also held leadership roles at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Dell Technologies, Lucent Technologies, and EDS. Additionally, she sat on the board of HBS Austin Alumni organization from 2003 to 2012 and held various leadership roles in the National Charity League from 2020 to 2022.
Claudia earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
